Emterra Dons Pink for Worthy Cause

In mid October, the American Cancer Society held its 16th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in downtown Flint, Michigan. Over 4,000 participants walked to support those affected by breast cancer and to remember loved ones who have succumbed to the disease.

To support this important walk in a unique way, Emterra Environmental USA painted a waste collection bin pink and included the iconic pink ribbon which is the international symbol for breast cancer awareness. To our surprise, the pink bin was a big hit at the event and participants waited up to 30 minutes to get a picture with it!

“Emterra is proud to join with other supporters who believe that by working together, we can beat this disease,” says Angelo Caramagno, General Manager, Emterra Environmental USA.

Emterra is currently involved in a number of different initiatives throughout Michigan and Canada that contribute to an improved and healthier environment and more sustainable communities.
